The Tashlich Scene at My House

God will take us back in love;
God will cover up our iniquities,
God will hurl all our sins
into the depths of the sea.

Micah 7:19

The Betta Boys are honored
to participate
in the Rosh HaShanah custom of tashlich
which, from their perspective,
beats being featured in the meal
for Yom Kippur's break-the-fast.

  1. L'shanah tovah my beautiful friend. I was at a wonderful talk about interfaith and inter-religious dialogue last night. I wished that you were with me!

  2. Happy Rosh Hashanah, dear Meredith. I just tweeted about your blog post. I am very appreciative of the tashlich instructions. Your poor fish look at bit overburdened by your cast off sins. Surely the representation here is disproportionate. I am also enjoying the updates on life in Baltimore.

  3. How sad. But I guess their fate was written last Rosh Hashanah and sealed last Yom Kippur. I wonder what this year's book of life will have written in it? Maybe you need to buy turtles!

    Shana Tovah!
