Yom Kippur 5773: Not Your Usual Kol Nidre

Kol Nidrei (Moroccan Version)
Was considering posting the Johnny Mathis version
but felt called to post this rendition...again. It's gorgeous.

Every vow and bond
every oath
every promise
every obligation or every renunciation
between ourselves and God
which we have vowed
which we have sworn
which we have promised
and taken upon ourselves
from the preceding Day of Atonement
unto this Day of Atonement
may it come upon us in peace.
All such oaths
all such vows
all such promises or renunciations
are as if they were not
they shall not be binding
nor shall they have any power.

  1. It is hauntingly beautiful - you made a wise choice. Also, totally unrelated, when I was on PFO today a very wise statement that you had made was on the Words of Wisdom: “I actively, consciously choose to walk by faith and not by fright.” I have been very aware that I walk by fright at times and have been attempting to walk more by faith so this has spoken very deeply to me. Thank you very much.
