The Magi Arrive at Long Last!

The Magi didn't expect the Holy Family to be so much larger than life. Quite the Epiphany! And the trip was such a schlep, they decided to head home another way.

  1. Ha! I am relieved they made it safely and soundly. They look pretty good after all they have been through and no doubt someone else will be in charge of the map on the way home! Look forward to seeing the most wise men next year.

  2. Not to be a liturgical noodge but aren't they a bit early? Perhaps they were using one of those GPS devices. Or got the camels hopped up on Starbucks before hitting the road. But I'm glad to see they've arrived -- it was touch and go there for awhile.

  3. Liturgically, you are beyond correct but remember that some people only count events that happen during Sunday worship...not among my readership, of course, so you're absolutely right. Penance?

  4. Maybe the Magi can actually get into the manger itself tomorrow. It'll be a bit crowded, I realize, but then they will have fully arrived. Unless Joseph gets annoyed for violating his personal space and bounces them.

  5. You've inspired us to do our own version of their journey. Keep in mind that DuckyBoy is only 6 so his tastes run to the modern and mechanical...

  6. My guys arrived mangerside safe & sound yesterday and immediately settled down for a long winter's nap!! As Grandmom used to insist, "Everything Christmas out by Candlemas!" at least they have a few weeks to rest up before the journey back up to the attic.

Blessings on your happy, holy days.

  7. Yep, everything Christmas packed away by Candlemas and only a few short weeks to Ash Wednesday this year.
